Government of Kerala have accorded sanction for conducting a certificate course in Communicative English vide G.O No.108/10/I & PR, dated 20..4..2010.
This three months course provides soft skill training with a professional edge focusing on the trans cultural dimensions of English language proficiency in spoken and written skills. Public speaking, Personality development, Situation management, Interview skills etc. will be covered as part of the course.
OBJECTIVE: Journalists, professionals and others are experiencing a lot of difficulty in effective communication in English. In the modern society communication skill is considered a desirable qualification for better employment. The proposed 100 hour three months Communicative English Course is specially designed to suit the needs of those who want to operate a successful communication in English.
TARGET GROUP: Journalists, Professionals, Employees, Business Men, Job Seekers and students. It is expected that this crash programme will enable the target group to build up their spoken and written skills in the English language.
CLASS TIMING: This certificate course is designed as a part time programme with class timing either in the morning 7.30 to 9.30 or in the evening 5.30 to 7.10, subject to the availability of students.
ADMISSION: Admission to this course is open to those who have passed minimum +2 course on a first come first serve basis. General reservation norms ordered by the State Government from time to time will be observed in the admission of students.

Note:
Students admitted to the P.G. Diploma in Journalism and Public Relations will be permitted to do the certificate in Communicative English Course along with the P.G Diploma Courses. |
